The Quarintini Tonic

Welcome to the Potion Portal!

Introducing the next potion on our Wellness Beverage Series, the Quarantini Tonic, filled with simple and beneficial ingredients to elevate, protect, and strengthen your immune system, specifically your respiratory system!

Our Quarantini Tonic, formally known as Immunity Tonic, has been one of our go-tos this cold and flu season. With three key components, this drink makes for a one of a kind immune boosting tonic. Not only will this taste incredibly refreshing but your respiratory tract will thank you!

Our three highlighted ingredients are: Marshmallow Root, Ginger, and Lemon. Lets take a journey through these three.

First we have Marshmallow Root, not to be confused with modern day Marshmallows. Marshmallow Root is a fantastic soother towards inflammation within our respiratory system. Used to combat against swelling within our lungs, digestive system, and urinary tract, this herb contains mucilage which naturally hydrates the body to avoid build up of fluids, causing inflammation.

Next we want to highlight our great pal, Ginger. Also in the category of an anti-inflammatory, Ginger aids in easing digestion discomfort, diminishes the effects of a fever or cold, and so much more. Ginger is a great immune booster for its antibacterial properties, truly cleansing our palettes.

Last, the covert hero, Lemon. Lemon is a medicinal fruit disguised as a simple kitchen citrus. Lemon is packed with Vitamin C, antioxidants, and plenty of other nutrients. The best part is, lemons are so accessible!

Now that we have taken a journey through the medicinal properties of this drink, lets get to the fun part, Creation! Follow the recipe below and IN-JOY!

Marshmallow Root Infusion

First we will need to look at how to prep an overnight Marshmallow Infusion.

To make a cold water infusion, fill a jar 1/4 full with cut and sifted Marshmallow Root, then fill the rest of the jar with purified water and allow the infusion to sit overnight.

The following day, strain through a mesh strainer and its ready to go!

Herb Accessibility

You might be wondering how to find Marshmallow Root during this time. We encourage you to do some research on your town’s local apothecaries to see which ones are offering curbside or delivery support.
